Community of St. John’s,

I hope this finds you well! I wanted to share some exciting updates about our growing family and express our heartfelt gratitude for your support.
First, some good news: Randi's pregnancy is going super well! We're so grateful for a healthy baby and a healthy mama. As you may know, our little one has earned herself quite the nickname – we call her "Hiccup" because she was hiccuping away the very first time we heard her heartbeat. It was the sweetest sound, and the name just stuck! We've decided we'll give her a proper name when we meet her face to face, but for now, Baby Hiccup it is.
Speaking of meeting her, we're counting down to December 15th – that's the big day! It's getting real. The nursery is (mostly) ready, and we're doing all the last-minute prep that first-time parents do, which mostly involves wondering if we're actually ready for this. (Spoiler alert: I don't think anyone ever truly is!)
I want to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the incredible gift of parental leave. Thanks to the generosity and support of both St. John's and the Grand Canyon Synod, I'll be able to take time away from December 15th through February 15th to be fully present with Randi and our daughter during those precious first weeks. What a blessing! This gift means the world to us, and we're deeply grateful to serve with communities that value both ministry and family life.
As always, we covet your prayers. Thank you for continuing to pray for Baby Hiccup, for Randi, and for me as we prepare for this new adventure. Your prayers have been such a source of strength, and we're so grateful.
Finally, many of you have asked about our baby registry, so I wanted to share it with you. Please know that no gift is needed – your prayers are truly more than enough. But if you'd like the information, we wanted to make it available: https://my.babylist.com/baby-randi-phelps
Thank you for being such a loving, supportive community. We can't wait to introduce you to our little Hiccup!
In gratitude and joy,
Pastor Dan
