Are you eager to deepen your faith, enhance your understanding of Scripture, and grow together with other followers of Christ? The GIF/Diakonia Foundation Year might be exactly what you need!

Registration is now open for the 2026–2027 Foundation Year, with classes starting on August 25, 2026. Whether you're new to Bible study or have been a longtime follower of Christ, the Diakonia program welcomes participants at any stage of their faith journey.

For over 40 years, the Diakonia program has been assisting members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in growing their knowledge, service, and discipleship. The refreshed two-year curriculum offers a Foundation Year followed by optional Practical Year tracks, allowing participants the flexibility to continue learning in ways that match their interests and calling.

Program Details

• Classes begin: Tuesday, August 25, 2026

• When: Tuesday evenings, 6:00–9:00 pm MST

• Where: Online via Zoom

• Cost: $25 one-time enrollment fee, plus $70 tuition per class (required books may incur additional costs)

The Diakonia program offers a supportive learning environment where participants are encouraged to ask questions, explore Scripture, and deepen their relationship with God while connecting with fellow believers across the region.
