West Valley Lutheran Thrift Shop: Summer Help Needed!

We are reaching out with a call for volunteers to support the wonderful ministry of the Lutheran Thrift Shop in Sun City. The shop not only provides affordable clothing, household goods, and other essentials to folks looking to save money in a tough economy, but it also serves as a vital source of funding for local west valley nonprofits.  It’s the circle of life!

The Thrift Shop thrives because of the love and dedication of volunteers who generously give their time and talents. We are in need of more helping hands to continue this important work throughout the summer while a majority of our workforce is gone to cooler climates. The air conditioning is on so it’s cool in the shop; perfect for spending a morning or an afternoon lending a hand to a great cause.   Whether you have a few hours a week or a couple of days a month, your time can make a big impact!

Volunteering opportunities include:

• Jewelry counter help

• Artwork & Crafts Department

• Cashiers

• Sorting, organizing  and pricing donations

• Assisting customers

• Creating displays and restocking merchandise

No experience necessary - just a willing heart and a desire to serve. You will be part of a welcoming team and you may even discover new friendships along the way!  Shifts are 3 hours - who doesn’t have 3 hours?  Also, volunteers got a “raise” -  30% off your purchases of non-sale items.
