West Valley Lutheran Thrift Shop: Would you make a good Trucker?

When the Lutheran Thrift Shop first opened its doors, donations were picked up and furniture deliveries were made by volunteers using their own pick-up trucks. The ability to transport large items has always been crucial to the shop’s success, and it remains a major component of our daily operation.
Over the years, business has steadily increased, and to keep up with demand, the shop upgraded to a seven-passenger, 14’ box truck — which continues to be a key part of our business plan. Picking up donations and delivering furniture throughout the West Valley keeps the truck rolling several days a week.
However, the need for reliable, able-bodied men and women to help on the truck remains constant. If you enjoy meeting new people, working with a great crew, and have a willingness to help, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Would you make a good trucker?
Are you friendly and outgoing?
Do you enjoy working in a team and making a positive impression with our donors and customers?
Do you have 1 day a week to give?
No special driver’s license is required! If you’re looking for something different every time you work, a GPS to guide you, and the chance to make a real difference — this is the role for you.
Interested in giving it a try? Take a "test ride" to see if trucking is right for you! Call us at 623-815-7061 and schedule a ride-along with one of our awesome crews. We’d love to have you on board!
