Combined Worship & Picnic at Heroes Park on Sunday, November 2, at 11 am

On the weekend of November 1–2, we gather in joyful celebration of All the Saints — those who have died and been raised with Christ! It’s a time to remember with gratitude, rejoice in the promise of resurrection, and celebrate the unity we share as one body in Christ.

Worship Schedule

  • Saturday, November 1 – 5:00 pm: Worship in the Chapel (as usual)

  • Sunday, November 2 – 11:00 am: Combined Outdoor Worship at Heroes Park (83rd Avenue & Bethany Home Road)

This special Sunday service will bring together Emmanuel, South Sudanese, and Vida Nueva Lutheran Church for one shared time of worship, fellowship, and community celebration.

Picnic Fellowship

After worship, stay for a picnic lunch! It’s a great chance to relax, connect with friends old and new, and share a meal in the beautiful park setting.

We’re asking for help with food contributions:

  • Spanish rice

  • Pinto or refried beans

  • Desserts

If you’d like to help, please sign up on the sheet in the Narthex or contact Ann Steinhoff or Dale Hurless.Need a good Spanish rice recipe? Ann has an easy and delicious one to share — just ask!

What to Wear

Show your church spirit and unity by wearing your yellow “God’s Work / Our Hands” shirt or a red top to celebrate our life together in Christ.

Let’s come together to worship, eat, and rejoice as one community — united in faith, love, and service. See you at Heroes Park on Sunday, November 2 at 11am!
