There’s something special about coming together as a church family—not just in worship, but in service as well. On Saturday, March 21, beginning at 8:00 am, we’re inviting everyone to take part in our Church Work Day as we work together to care for and improve our church property.
This will be a great opportunity to serve side by side, meet others in the congregation, and help keep our church campus clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone who walks through our doors.
Whether you enjoy working outdoors, fixing things, cleaning, or tackling hands-on projects, there will be something for everyone to do.
What to Bring
If you’re able, please bring:
Work gloves
Basic tools
Comfortable work clothes
A willing heart to serve
Even if you don’t have tools, we still need you—many hands make light work!
Projects for the Day
We’ve identified several projects around the campus that need attention. Volunteers can choose the task that fits them best.
Power wash / scrub concrete in front of the Sanctuary – 2 people
Install weather stripping in classrooms – 2–4 people
Paint metal chairs using St. John’s stencils – 2 people
Repair/replace siding and trim on the east side of the outdoor shed – 2 people
Check and tighten all Sanctuary chairs – 2–4 people
Check and troubleshoot DD lights around pantry storage – 2 people
Cut and verticut the grass – 2–3 people
Clean and scrub the four concrete tables and benches – 2–4 people
Use a handheld vacuum extractor to clean the cloth/padded seats of the Chapel folding chairs – 2 people
Why It Matters
Taking care of our church property helps create a welcoming space for worship, fellowship, and ministry. It also reminds us that the church is more than a building—it’s a community that works together in love and service.
Come Serve Together
We encourage individuals, families, and small groups to join in. Even if you can only stay for part of the morning, your help will make a difference.
Let’s roll up our sleeves, share some laughter, and make our church campus beautiful and welcoming together.
We hope to see you there!
