There's something unique about gathering as a church family—not only for worship but also for service. On Saturday, March 21, starting at 8:00 am, we invite everyone to join us for our Church Work Day as we collaborate to maintain and enhance our church property.
This is a wonderful chance to serve together, connect with others in the congregation, and ensure our church campus remains clean, safe, and inviting for all who enter.
Whether you like working outdoors, repairing things, cleaning, or engaging in hands-on projects, there will be something for everyone to do.
What to Bring
If possible, please bring:
Work gloves
Basic tools
Comfortable work clothes
A willing heart to serve
Even if you don’t have tools, we still need you—many hands make light work!
Projects for the Day
We have pinpointed various projects across the campus requiring attention. Volunteers can select the task that suits them best.
Power wash / scrub concrete in front of the Sanctuary – 2 people
Install weather stripping in classrooms – 2–4 people
Paint metal chairs using St. John’s stencils – 2 people
Repair/replace siding and trim on the east side of the outdoor shed – 2 people
Check and tighten all Sanctuary chairs – 2–4 people
Check and troubleshoot DD lights around pantry storage – 2 people
Cut and verticut the grass – 2–3 people
Clean and scrub the four concrete tables and benches – 2–4 people
Use a handheld vacuum extractor to clean the cloth/padded seats of the Chapel folding chairs – 2 people
Why It Matters
Maintaining our church property creates an inviting environment for worship, fellowship, and ministry. It also serves as a reminder that the church extends beyond a physical structure—it is a community united in love and service.
Come Serve Together
We invite individuals, families, and small groups to participate. Even if you can only be present for a portion of the morning, your assistance will be impactful.
Let's get to work, enjoy some laughs, and collaboratively make our church campus beautiful and inviting.
We look forward to seeing you there!
