As we approach the start of a new year, we also come to an important moment in the life of our church community: our Annual Congregational Meeting. This year’s meeting will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 9:45 am, in the Sanctuary and Online.
This gathering is more than a procedural necessity—it’s an opportunity for all of us to participate in the shared ministry of St. John’s, discern our path forward, and celebrate the work God is doing among us.
What to Expect at the Meeting
✔ Review and Vote on the 2026 Proposed Budget
Each year, our budget reflects our values, our mission, and the ministries we commit to support. Your voice matters in shaping these priorities. Beginning December 5, you may pick up your copy of the proposed 2026 budget in the narthex or in the church office or click here. Please take time to read it in advance so you can come prepared for discussion and voting.
✔ Electing Delegates to the 2026 Synod Assembly
We will also elect representatives to attend the Synod Assembly in Mesa this June. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with the wider church, participate in meaningful conversations, and represent St. John’s at the synod level. If you’ve ever felt called to this kind of service, we invite you to prayerfully consider putting your name forward.
Why Your Participation Matters
Our annual meeting is a chance for every member to practice stewardship—not only of finances, but of our mission, our relationships, and our shared future. Whether you join us in person in the sanctuary or online, your insight, your vote, and your presence are deeply valued.
